OMANAC -MR Tablet
Active Ingredients:
- Aceclofenac (100 mg): A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces pain and inflammation.
- Paracetamol (325 mg): A pain reliever and fever reducer.
- Chlorzoxazone (250 mg): A muscle relaxant that helps relieve muscle spasms.
Description & Mechanism of Action:
Aceclofenac (100 mg):
- Inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, reducing pain, swelling, and inflammation.
- Used for arthritis, joint pain, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Paracetamol (325 mg):
- Works on the brain’s pain receptors to provide pain relief and fever reduction.
- Enhances the pain-relieving effect of Aceclofenac.
Chlorzoxazone (250 mg):
- Acts on the central nervous system (CNS) to relax muscles and relieve spasms.
- Helps treat muscle stiffness, strain, and injuries.
Uses:
- Muscle pain and spasms (back pain, neck pain, strains, sprains)
- Joint pain and inflammation (arthritis, osteoarthritis)
- Post-operative pain relief
- Sports injuries and musculoskeletal disorders
Dosage & Administration:
- Adults: Usually one tablet twice daily after food or as prescribed.
- Do not crush or chew (swallow whole with water).
Side Effects:
- Nausea, vomiting
- Stomach pain, acidity
- Drowsiness, dizziness
- Skin rash (allergic reactions)
- Long-term use may cause kidney/liver damage (especially due to Paracetamol).
Precautions & Warnings:
- Avoid alcohol (increases liver toxicity risk).

- Avoid driving or operating machinery (may cause drowsiness).
Drug Interactions:
